Who can register a .eco domain?
.eco is available for businesses, non-profits and individuals who are committed to working toward a sustainable future. A .eco website should have an environmental focus or clearly articulate the eco-friendly actions you are taking. If you have any concerns about whether you qualify, please review our eligibility policies.
How do I buy a .eco domain?
Start by searching for the name that you’re looking for. We don’t sell .eco domains directly, but there are over 100 retailers who do. You can apply filters to find a retailer that meets your needs. We recommend choosing an eco-friendly retailer that runs energy efficient data centers using renewable energy.
What if my usual registrar does not carry .eco domains?
We have been working hard to ensure that .eco is carried by as many retailers as possible. But we know that there are still some retailers that don’t yet offer .eco. The best way to get them onboard is to hear from customers like you asking for .eco domains. Feel free to reach out via chat or email about it and we can discuss some options. Also, just because a registrar says that a particular .eco domain is unavailable, it might mean that they don’t carry it. The best way to know for sure is to search for your .eco domain here.
